"This was our 3rd trip to The Haven. It's a beautiful town house in a very central location, sshort stroll away from all the lovely shops and pubs."
"Breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from. Couldn't have asked for more."
"A lovely warm welcome. This is a great guest house in the best location."
The Haven is under new ownership and we are temporarily closed whilst we make a few changes.
We re-open on March 8th and we are already taking bookings via telephone with online bookings resuming shortly.
We no longer offer breakfast and will operate on a room only basis, giving you the opportunity to experience breakfast in one of Whitby’s excellent cafes and restaurants which are just a short walk away.
The four poster bed in Room 2 has been replaced with a luxurious antique brass king size bed and the room has been redecorated. Room 7 has been decorated and is no longer French themed.
New photographs will be available shortly and we will be accepting card payments.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Haven.
Rebecca (new owner)
The Haven enjoys an ideal position in a small crescent of only nine properties, on the west cliff at Whitby overlooking the harbour entrance St Mary's church & the ruins of St Hilda's Abbey, only a short walk from the town centre railway and bus stations, the cliffs and beach are also nearby.
The Haven has undergone a refurbishment in 2016, offering even better comfort and surroundings than before while still maintaining the homely feeling and cleanliness that keeps our regular guests returning time and again.
All rooms are en-suite with king size beds, hospitality trays, hair driers, and a selection of luxury toiletries, Wi-Fi and flat screen televisions, plus new carpets throughout.
