What our visitors say...

  • "We have stayed at this delightful B & B for 2 years running. We return because of the high standard of cleanliness, the warm & friendly welcome & the guarantee of a good nights sleep. We are never disappointed. Ask for room 2, in particular, if you enjoy sleeping in a four poster bed, having a good view of the wonderful Whitby bay and prefer a 'special' table alongside the bay window where you can leisurely eat a full English breakfast! Stevie's good sense of humour & attention to detail are highly recommended."

  • "Just returned from a weekend at the Haven together with three other couples. Really clean, good location, beds are so comfy, Stevie is a great hostess and brilliant breakfast!! Nothing too much trouble will definitely be back next year!!"

  • "We have just returned from what was meant to be a one night stop at the haven, however due to bad fog on the north York moors we turned back and stopped for a second night, and we were fortunate enough to get back into the same room (number 2). Although all the rooms are lovely, room two has the benefit of a four poster bed and one of the most stunning sea views so is our favourite. The bed is super comfortable - just what you need after a day exploring!"

  • "We stayed at the Haven for 2 nights. The landlady Stevie could not have made our stay any more welcoming. The hotel is very clean and homely. The landlady is a bundle of fun and always cheerful and willing to have a chat !!!! We stayed in room 1 on the first floor. Nice view out to sea. Room was compact but ideal as a base to enjoy Whitby's sights and atmosphere. We will definitely be going back to see the lovely lady again. Thank You."

  • "My husband and I have gone to Whitby every year for the last 8 years and have stayed in various B&Bs. We can honestly say that this weekends stay at The Haven has been the best by far. We are both believers of excellent customer service and Stevie made sure of that. The room was immaculately clean and had a super view. The breakfast was well presented and piping hot. We will definitely be visiting The Haven on our next visit."

  • "We have stayed at The Haven on many occasions and each time has been excellent. Stevie & Chris are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We love the sea view from room 2, room 1 also has a sea view. The rooms are spotlessly clean with high quality bed linen (I'm funny about things like that!). Excellent breakfast and everything to a high standard. Looking forward to our next visit."

  • "Another fabulous stay (our second this year) at the Haven. Spotlessly clean, top quality beds, beautiful breakfast - copious amounts of tea and toast !!! (Stevie has a witty, dry lovely sense of humour - which obviously some people lack) We've been going at least once a year since Stevie and Chris opened - had good laugh with them as per usual. Once again thanks to them for their hospitality."

  • "We have just enjoyed a fabulous 2 night stay at The Haven. We were in room 1 with fantastic views out to see and if we looked to the right from our room we could see the old Abbey. Stevie is your perfect host who would bend over backwards for you :) Cannot find a fault at all. We shall be booking again very soon"

  • "I have stayed in various B&Bs and I can honestly say that last weekends stay at The Haven has been the best by far.On arrival there was a mix up with the booking but this was at no fault of Stevie. The mix up was sorted and meant us being upgraded to the 4 poster room, which i must say is gorgeous with the most amazing views of the bay. The room was immaculately clean and decorated to a very high standard. The breakfast was amazing, fresh tasty, cooked well and just enough. When we go back to Whitby I will be back at the Haven :-) "

  • "Excellent location near town centre, close to some lovely restaurants and pubs, didn't want to come home. Breakfast was a full english and was all nicely cooked. loads of tea and coffee on tap. It was a very friendly atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcomed. The room was beautiful and we had a lovely view over looking the sea and harbour. Fresh towels and tea and coffee in the room.it was perfect and we will defiantly stay there again."
