The following terms & conditions apply to bookings made on this website. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

Bookings
Please remember that a booking is a contract. All offers of accommodation on this website are subject to availability and we reserve the right to refuse any booking. Whilst every effort will be made to provide the room requested upon booking, due to any unforeseen circumstances this may not always be possible, in which case an alternative room will be offered, any upgrading will not be charged for, and price adjusted accordingly for any downgrade necessary. We do not allow pets of any kind.

ALL PARTY BOOKINGS ARE RESTRICTED TO A MAXIMUM OF THREE ROOMS

Prices
The prices displayed on the website are a total for your requested stay. A minimum length of stay, deposit, cancellation and other conditions may apply to certain rates, as specified. VAT is not charged under present legislation.

Payment
You will need to provide a credit card (or debit card) at the time you book to secure your booking. Where a deposit or full payment is required in advance, by booking you are authorising the debiting of the card provided. Any outstanding balance must be paid on arrival. Please note; DEPOSITS MAY ALSO BE MADE BY CHEQUE, PAYABLE TO THE HAVEN.

ALL DEPOSITS SENT VIA OUR WEBSITE ARE SUBJECT TO PAYPALS FEES BEING DEDUCTED BEFORE THEY REACH US, PLEASE BE AWARE THE COST OF THESE FEES WILL BE ADDED TO GUESTS FINAL BILL AT THE HAVEN. (Approx. £2.00 on a £50.00 Deposit.)

Cancellation / Non arrival charges
Cancellations must be made 7 days prior to scheduled date of arrival. Cancellation and non-arrival charges apply where cancellations are not permitted or that less than the required period of notice is given to release the booking, in which case you will be charged for one night's accommodation per room booked.

Change of Booking Details
Reservations may be amended in line with the booking conditions accepted at the time of the original reservation/s. Changes may be made subject to those conditions and any deposit/prepayment held is subject to those booking terms at the time of the original reservation.

Arrival and Departure
Your room will usually be available around lunchtime (1-2 p.m.) on the specified date of arrival. On your departure day we ask that you vacate your room by 10.15am (unless a later departure is stated as part of your booking,) otherwise you may be subject to an additional charge of up to one additional nights stay. In the unlikely event that you have a problem during your stay you must bring it to the attention of the owners or management, to ensure that we have an opportunity to rectify the problem.
PARKING IN WHITBY IS ON-STREET AND MAINLY FREE, WE DO NOT HAVE ALLOCATED PARKING, there are three pay and display car parks nearby.
LOST KEYS, there will be a charge of £25-00 made for replacement of lost keys.

During Your Stay
Guests are welcome to use our lounge adjacent to the dining room, but are reminded that it is only available until 10pm daily.
We pride ourselves on the standard of comfort and cleanliness of our rooms, WE THEREFORE DO NOT ALLOW TAKEAWAYS TO BE CONSUMED ON OUR PREMISES.
We do expect guests to conduct themselves in a proper manner; any excessive noise or disturbing of other guests will not be tolerated. Any or all damage or breakages must be paid for.
Despite the new smoking regulations, a small minority of guests still think it is their right to smoke on our premises, (may we remind them that this property is also our home,) any guest we suspect of smoking could face immediate eviction without refund.
